Welcome to Connect ("the App"). These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the App and its services, including but not limited to cross-border remittance, loan services, chat features, and other financial services ("Services"). By accessing or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App
1.1. This Agreement sets out the complete Terms and Conditions (hereinafter called "These Terms and Conditions") which shall be applicable to the connect application.
1.2. These Terms and Conditions might be changed from time to time and EthSwitch S.C will notify the change to the Terms and Conditions to the customer through the email address provided by the Customer.
1.3. These Terms and Conditions and any amendments or variations thereto take effect on their date of publication.
2.1. Before applying to use the connect application you should carefully read and understand these Terms and Conditions which will govern the use and operation of connect application.
2.2. If you do not agree with these Terms and Conditions, please click "delete your account"on the Menu.
2.3. You will be deemed to have read, understood, and accepted these Terms and Conditions: Upon clicking on ✔️/the "Agree" option on the Menu requesting you to confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to abide by with these Terms and Conditions; and/or by using or continuing to use and operate connect application.
2.4. These Terms and Conditions may be amended or varied by EthSwitch S.C from time to time there to take effect on their date of publication.
2.5. You acknowledge and accept connect application only electronically.
3.1. To activate the connect application with EthSwitch S.C, you must be at least:
3.1.1. 18-year-old and above;
3.1.2. You must have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement;
3.1.3. By using the app, you represent and warrant that you meet all eligibility requirements.
3.1.4. To access certain features of the App, you must register for an account.
3.1.5. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.
3.1.6. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account or any other security breach.
3.1.7. You will receive a notification for successful activation.
3.2. To use the connect application:
3.2.1. The Customer must be a lawful resident of Ethiopia or Any part of the world.
3.2.2. The Customer must have a legal ID that can describe its identity.
3.2.3. The Customer must provide his/her true and accurate personal information.
3.2.4. The Customer must possess his/her phone number every time using the connect application.
3.2.5. The Customer must provide his/her phone number which is currently under his/her possession and actively working.
3.2.6. The Customer is not allowed to use another person's connect account.
4.1. The app provides financial services including but not limited to:
4.1.1. Cross border remittance services
4.1.2. Mortgage loan services
4.1.3. Chat features
4.1.4. Load money
4.1.5. And others
4.2. All Services are subject to availability and may be modified, suspended, or discontinued at any time without notice.
4.3. You agree to use the Services only for lawful purposes and in compliance with these Terms and all applicable laws and regulations.
5.1. Certain Services may incur fees, which will be clearly disclosed to you before you use the Service.
5.2. You are responsible for paying all applicable fees, taxes, and charges associated with your use of the App.
5.3. Fees are subject to change at any time, and we will notify you of any changes in advance.
6.1. Cross-border remittance services are subject to the laws and regulations of the sending and receiving countries.
6.2. You are responsible for providing accurate recipient information. We are not liable for any losses resulting from incorrect information provided by you.
6.3. Exchange rates and fees for remittance services will be disclosed before you confirm the transaction.
7.1. Use the App for any illegal or unauthorized purpose.
7.2. Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the App or its systems.
7.3. Engage in any activity that disrupts or interferes with the App's functionality.
7.4. Use the App to harass, defraud, or harm others.
When you access our connect application, we collect and process your personal data. One of the ways we do this is by using cookies. By selecting Accept, you agree with the processing of your personal data for performance, marketing, and advertisement purposes, as well as us using cookies to do so.
All the intellectual property rights related to connect application, its contents, the logos, images graphics trademark of EthSwitch S.C, you shall not copy, modify or reverse engineer them.
To terminate the use of connect application, at any time, the Customer must be clear of any payments from the usage of the connect application and communicate EthSwitch S.C through its contact email at info@ethswitch.com.
You understand and agree that EthSwitch S.C will not be liable to you for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, including, but not limited to, damages for loss of profits, goodwill, use, data, or other intangible losses (even if you have been advised of the possibility of such damages), resulting from your use or access of, or inability to use or access of connect application.
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Ethiopia. Any disputes arising out of or related to these Terms or the App shall be resolved exclusively in the courts of Ethiopia.
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the App or by other means. Your continued use of the App after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless connect, its affiliates, and their respective officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, or expenses arising out of your use of the App or your violation of these Terms.
